Some men just want to watch the world burn...

Would you be interested in being around for the end of the world, or the eradication of humans from the planet?
It's not beyond the bounds of possibility - Fukushima, Korea, Iran, America, the Recession, Nibiru etc..
It'd be horrible if not very brief, but it could be interesting.
At some point down the line many people may choose not to have kids because the world will have become unbearably crap and they don't want to inflict that upon them, but that's a slightly different issue.
I'm not sure where I'd intended going with this - thank Cloud for AH, eh?

I see you have bought into that idea, too. However, what you overlook is that there is a limit to how many characters and icons you can carve on one big stone disc, just as there is a limit to how much data you can get on a DVD, memory stick or any other storage device.:D

That Mayan one should be labelled "Vol. 1" and goes up to December 2012.

In the meantime, Indiana Jones and company should be busy looking for the one labelled "Vol. 2".:)

So glad Nibiru made the list, it was all getting very serious up until that point.

    ?

Where do you get your notions from?....seriously you'd want to get out more.

I'm living out here in Korea and move between Japan and China regulary.

It reminds me of Ireland during the boom years out here, fast pace of life, building developments going up everyone, brand new cars on the road...all the major western brands establishing themselves so YA....the end of the world indeed!

Your post is nothing but a clear example of the media controlling someones life. Stay indoors on the internet, you're probably safer there.

Those who want to see the world end might want to go back in time to the Cold War and stir things up a bit. And by a bit, I mean a lot.
Alternatively, give climate change a good run at it or divert a friendly asteroid to hit us.

Anyway, for those who think the world is getting more dangerous, here's cognitive scientist and popular science writer Steven Pinker on the subject of levels of violence in the world:

Hopefully it will all be over soon. I predict an asteroid coming from behind the sun so we can't see / detect it until there's only an hour left. Hopefully soon.

Zombieland actually made the Zombie Apocalypse look like a lot of fun... Rolling around in a yellow hummer with Woody Harrelson and a bag full of guns? Sign me up!

    It's all very sexist really.

It only happens once. TETW isn't like a Pink Floyd reunion tour. I definitely want to be there when it happens.

I did a Google search for "Nibiru" since it didn't ring a bell and I got a great laugh from the Wikipedia article. It's hard to believe that people swallow such nonsense.

Micheal Tsarion says only those not in touch with their spiritual side will suffer during the solar rising.

Far be it from me to argue with that!
