I have a lens that need to be calibrated

    Canon EFS 17-85MM IS

This lens is not 100% sharp anymore...

anyone here in Irl (or in Dublin) can do this, apart from sending the lens to canon?

You can do it yourself. You have a mkiii haven't you? So you can use the microadjustment settings to calibrate the lens. Google a tutorial on how to do it.

Depending on what camera body you have there's an 'Automatic AF Microadjustment Calibrator' product about to hit the market any day now -

Aside from doing it yourself, no, there is no official certified centre to do the calibration in Ireland. It would have to be done by the Canon service centre in the UK.

the lens is not sharp at 17MM, but is sharp at 25mm, and maybe at 70mm its not sharp, but fine at 85mm.....

can you set the camera to change a zoom lens af?

Strange for it to go out and back in a couple of times. If you have enough pro gear to register with CPS you can get it done priority but still in England

That sounds more like a faulty lens than a calibration issue.

Might be worth your while sending it to Canon anyway, to verify.
