    does anyone know if you need to get an eye test for your provisional license (in ireland) even if you dont need glasses usually? also do you need some sort of medical cert?

    If you are getting your first provisional licence you need an eye test. On the form theirs a bit for the option to fill out that basically says you've got 2 leg's and 2 arms. If you filled out the form that you have a medical condition then you may need a doctors cert depending on what's wrong with you.

    okay will an eye test from specsavers (or similar) do or does it have to be from a doctor? haha both my arms and legs are fine! thanks :)

    As long as its a qualified option it doesn't matter where its done. I know a few people that got theirs done in specsavers and optical express in newbridge.

    It seriously takes 2 mins, and any optician will do it. You probably wouldn't even need an appointment.
