That name should ring a bell to most of us on here. Back in the heyday they would show ROH in the most random order ever. They had TNA when it was during the days of Abyss having a squash match every week. Kenta Kobashi matches all over the place.

Was a real shame when it was on its last legs and you knew it wouldn't last showing those awful MMA shows with 4 people in the crowd.

Those Supercard Sunday shows with comps of Tiger Mask, Dynamite Kid, Bryan Danielson and AJ Styles were the best.

    Nostalgia!

    RF shoot interviews too!

That was great while it lasted, even when they showed an episode of TNA that had Styles as World champion, then an interview show afterwards with him as X-Division champion. Continuity was a lost concept but most of the shows were awesome. Knew it was on its way out when they changed to the Fight Network or whatever it was.

i have UPC so never got to have the channel, though i'd watch it at a friends' house. Was pretty cool while it lasted, although pretty scant by the end.

Needed to change the topic title as i got excited there was new news there... ;)

Loved TWC remember as soon as I seen it I had to get a guy from Sky to move my dish so I could get it. Loved watching tna, roh, shoot interviews and noah on it. It wasn't perfect every 2/3 months when they were meant to be showing a new tna ppv they'd end up showing a old one, hated that. It really struggled after tna went to bravo and the last few months had repeats on week after week and Babestation or was that the games network. Fight network sucked compared to twc imo. They had a preview show before the bell(I think its called that) which was good.

A great channel if you were a World of Sport fan, which I most certainly wasn't.

I read a topic on ukff were the chap who ran it said how World of Sport was one of the highest rated shows. It was a brilliant thread, hearing about how the channel came to be.

Ironic that this thread popped up, because in work on Thursday I started working on business in Dublin, when suddenly The Wrestling Channel popped up in the business listings :p

It did end up with a lot of World of Sport but they had some great TNA, ROH and Japanese wrestling for a blissful few months.

Yeah it provided me with a great introduction to TNA and ROH at a time when I was all but done with wrestling so for that I'm really thankful.

My Dad loved the world of sport on The Wrestling Channel. He used to watch it as a kid all the time, he even had friends over now and again to watch it for the nostaliga sake.
