    Hey!

Does anyone know of clubs in South Dublin for beginners preferably with a good social side too? or any costal clubs? or introductory courses at weekends?
I can canoe a little bit, I have no official courses but used to do it during the summer a few years ago, my friend has no experience but we would both love to start.

    Thanks!:D

Wildwater (WWKC) have posted the dates & times for 2012 courses.

Details of Courses http://www.wwkc.net/index.php/courses. Also has the contact details for the beginners officers who will answer any questions you have.

I did a two day course with:

It was fun. We were mainly around Killiney and Dalkey. And seemingly we covered about 20km over the 2 days.
Wouldn't mind doing another course with them or maybe I will check out some of the suggestions above!

I did the 6wk beginner course with wild water last year, defo recommend them. It's good craic, plus you get to use their boats for a year after the course. Only thing is, because it's such a big club places on club trips are limited but they do have lots of weekend trips during the year and regular 1 day trips.
    It's a good hobby, you'll have a great time!
