Whats the best way to put the photos together to make a hdr photo. I do not have photo shop. only the software that came with the camera and windows live photo thing

download a free trial of photomatix (do a google) if you like it, you can buy it.

if you are on a mac there are a few interesting hdr apps you can get also which are cheap or free - bracketeer, light compressor etc.
