Does rooting affect insurrance??

    Considering rooting my Desire HD and I know that rooting will void the warranty. I pay phone insurance to CPP, just wondering if rooting will mean I won't be able to claim should anything happen and whether I should bother to continue to play the monthly fee if this is the case. I've already looked at my copy of the contract and can't find anything about the warranty.

    How would they know if you've rooted? Esp. if the phone doesn't work/is lost/is stolen.
