No. If you have a Time Machine backup which includes backups made under Snow Leopard then you can restore to an earlier pre-Lion state. Otherwise you'll have to do a clean install of Snow Leopard, which involves wiping the hard drive and manually copying your Time Machine data over.

I did like lion I just found everything way to buggy ie switching between iTunes and safari I just kept the beach ball of death.
It just did my head in so I went back to snow and all is great again.
Did anyone else have any issues with lion?

I did until I did a clean install (this doesn't wipe your drive, so you don't lose data). Then everything started running smooothly.

Yep. Running both systems on two same model macbook pros I found similar issues to yours plus I found it more sluggish and overall more twitchy than Snow Leopard. Issues with wireless and networking, higher battery usage, runs hotter, more RAM hungry, time machine issues, new Mail I found had odd behaviour, sometime sluggish sleep performance, some issues with Adobe products. That's after a format and clean install too(and the updates applied).

To be fair the extra GUI features weren't things I would use(though some of the underbonnet stuff is nice to be fair). EG never used the old expose, resume irritated me, as did the lack of Rosetta and not so keen on the iPad with a keyboard GUI "improvements" the removal of java by default, even though you can just reinstall I thought OTT. So that would make a difference to ones personal user experience. For me these features weren't worth the other issues I had with Lion. I'll adopt a wait and see attitude to it until it's improved, just like I have with previous system rollouts.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I have had no problems with Lion at all.

On my old machine, It had Leopard when it came out, I upgrade installed Snow Leopard when I started making iOS apps and upgrade installed Lion.

Same with my newer machine. Came with Snow Leopard, upgrade installed to Lion. Zero problems.

After using Lion on another laptop, I think I will skip it for another revision or two. Too many small niggly things despite all the great internal changes.

I might dual boot it, but I am short on space.
