they are around alright, got an old bin bag holder made out of metal cylinderical in shape, got the side sheeting off an old trampoline and sowed it on and stuck on a zip on it rough and ready but it keeps them off the bird's.

I've an old fridge in a shed outside mostly used for beer;). Wonder if I started hanging pheasants in it what temp would the fridge want to be at? Hung pheasants for years in the same spot in the shed and never before have I seen flies on a pheasant except maybe the first week of the season. Definitely not after Christmas anyway.

After tree days your getting maggots how long you trying to hang them for I've often seen pheasant just cleaned out and put in the freezor although I wouldn't hang any longer than 3 days

Ah ye I like it that way to I think fridge might be the way to go if the problem doesn't go away could there be anything in your yard attracting the flys
