HTC Desire Menu button not working (back button not working in certain circumstances)

    Hi,

    has anyone come across the following on a HTC desire (running 2.2):

    - 99% of the time the menu button doesn't work, usually works for a few seconds in the morning

    - back button works rarely in internet, always works in messages

    Tempted to open it up and clean the contacts, however seems to me like a software issue, did a full reset, situation still the same.

    Yeah happened with mine, i think it might just be wear and tear. i found that i had to press the back button hard to get it to respond and just a little bit of extra pressure on the other buttons.

    Thanks for the reply.

    When the menu button works it works with the slightest of touches.

    The back button works all the time in messages and occassionally in internet....that doesn't indicate wear and tear (on that particular button)

    The home button always works
