What are ye're predictions for the upcoming calendar year?

    City to win the prem
QPR Swansea and Wolves to go down with none relegated till the last day
    Real for Europe
Germany for euros, Croatia as dark horse and Ireland faring poorly
West Ham, So'ton and Leeds for promotion

Also think that Henry will roll back the years and RVP will jump ship in summer. They are some of mine be interesting to hear others

I'm gonna say United to win the league. Anything could happen though.
Blackburn Bolton and Wigan to go down.
Barca for the CL, really can't look past them.
    Germany as well for me.
    WHU, So'ton and 'boro.

Think Henry will be average at best, and can't see RVP leaving to be honest.

If QPR and Norwich stay up and Leeds and/or Southampton and/or 'Boro come up to the Premier League, then I would love to see a return of short shorts, crazy mullets, questionable jerseys, mucky pitches and crunching tackles.

    Just like the old days!

Ireland to go a consderable distance in the summer and get out of the group. There will be some major upsets. I honestly believe we have enough spirit to nick it against Croatia, enough courage to take Italy and enough negativity to bore the Spanish to at least a dour draw. If we can avoid Holland and Germany after that we can go far.
England so torn apart from the Terry crap and the fact they are playing for a clown so desperate and unbelieving in his own side he blames his own failings on made up stories of the German FA stealing foreign players.....could be the most comedic England tourno yet.:pac:
Spain not to be great at the finals. Just have the feeling they wont get to the final let alone win. Villa out, Torres in awful form, obviously they have a deep squad but even still. Another one or two top class injuries and it could come apart. Germany are the new Spain tbh, their squad is still in development stage but at its height will be one of the best of all time. Either Germany or Holland to win 2012.
Utd to undeservedly win the league due to some unbelieveable City fcuk ups :( And probably a bit of favourable reffing.
Torres to be sold to a level of club nobody would have dreamt of years ago, and probably retire before 30.
Liverpool to stumble along under the mid level lucky to be into it Europa League mediocrity of King Kenny for the next umpteen years.

    Arf!

Euros to be won by Germany.
    Man City to win league
    Real Madrid to win CL
Man City to win EL (if they can be arsed enough)
PSG and Chelsea to have new coaches by September.

Manchester United to be "in decline", "finished", "broke" ect..... Yet still pick up a Trophy or two.
Manchester City to spend a bazillion quid in there quest for the best players in the world.
Arsenal to unearth more young talent and Henry to score a goal and get very angry about it.
Liverpool to float around winning here and there but not putting any thing good together.
Chelsea squad to get older and older. Terry to be true to form and get another manager sacked.
Pretty much the same as the last lot of years.

Mario Balotelli to be named Italian Prime Minister and shag more birds in his first 6 months than Berlusconi did in his entire tenure.

Some of these predictions are the equivalent of predicting the sun will rise tomorrow. :p

City to win the Europa and FA Cups, but not the League.

Spurs to keep it a top 3 race, not dropping into a CL battle like some suggest.

Bayern to beat Barcelona, whenever they come head to head, but not necessarily win the whole CL.

Ba to win the golden boot.

EPL - Man City (but only just), Utd, Spurs and Arsenal to fill the frame
CL - Real (not sure why just feel the special one will work his magic)
    EL - Utd
    FA CUP - Arsenal

Euros - Ireland to get out of the group (possibly with 3 draws...), maybe beat England in the quarters and from there who knows
Germany should win it all but then again....

On the coaching front, would not shock me if AVB gets one more season. Spurs on the other hand might well have a new manager for the new season for a variety of reasons...

It's almost certain we will. Harry looks nailed on for that England job when Capello leaves.

Ireland to beat Spain (à la Sunderland vs Citeh today), and (suspiciously) have the exact result necessary against Italy for both to qualify.
Germany to win the Euros barring an injury crisis.
    Real for La Liga.
    City for Premiership and Europa.
    PSG for Ligue 1.
    Juve for Serie A.
    Bayern for Bundesliga and CL.

Prem - City, Utd close second
    CL - Real or Barca
    EL - Utd

Euros- Germany, Ireland to get 3 draws

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,482 ✭✭✭Kidchameleon

    PL - Man UTD
    CL - Real

Top 4: Utd, City, Spurs & Chelsea.

Euro's: We'll get out of the group second place. We'll face either France or England in the quarters and there's no way an Irish team will loose that match. In the semi's I'm not sure who we'll get but we will be 1 Nil down for most of the match until in the closing minutes one of the opponents players spills the ball and Duff has a cheeky shot at goal. He scores, sending it to extra time. In extra time we take a serious pummeling, with a complete Armageddon on our goal but Shay will put on a memorable performance, stopping every shot, earning himself the player of the tournament accolade. Robbie will have his final goal of the tournament in the second half of extra time sending us to the final.

In the days before the final, an estimated two hundred thousand people take to the Phoenix Park, in a candle lit vigil, wishing look on the team.

In the final, it will be looking like extra time then Richard Dunne will knock it in on 87 mins (87 mins 23 seconds, remember that number)
