Not practical for people on the DB network where a taxi to city centre is €40+ I'm afraid.

Bit of a long shot but post in DCN forum and see if anyone is heading into town after 10pm tonight. Either to share a taxi or get a lift?

I checked the RTPI at 10.30 last night and it said there was a bus in 15 mins. Went to the bus stop and discovered no buses after 10. How hard would it be to put a message on the display saying that services finished at 10.

Well it is Dublin Bus so incredibly hard.

I was on their website last night trying to find out if the buses were running. I saw "Normal Saturday service until 22:00" so I click on their link about changes in bus routes for New Years Eve and check the 46a and see its only diverted in town and I assume its running outside town fine.
Long story short I had to get a taxi to the party I was going to, you'd think on one of the busiest night of the year they'd provide buses past 22:00 but that would make sense...
