I got a ipod touch for christmas and wondering if anybody has got some good Golf Apps that they use.

Thinking of purchasing iSwing Golf where you can record swing and analyse it also.

Just interested in finding out what others have used and if worth investing in other apps.

It's a putting app. It's cool and pretty good too.

*However you need to buy a "cradle" for the ipod. The RRP is €30 odd on the cradle and can be got from most golf shops I'd hazard. The app itself is free.

Phil's secrets (Mickelson's short game app).
Golf rules - there's two that are useful to have. The R&A app and one simply called 'golf rules' which is more user friendly IMO. There's also an Irish devised golf rules quiz app which is good.
The PGA and European tours' apps.
Some good stat apps like golfshot.

I use the free version of golf shot. Nothing fancy but a great way of keeping stats. Free too

I find swing reader is a good app for swing analysis considering its free. It slows down the swing pretty well although it is a little difficult to draw good lines.
The iPing app is also a must and it is well worth spending E30 on a cradle considering what you're getting for it.

Can you buy the cradles in Golf Shops or they only online from the US?

Cheers, nice one think I might invest in this.

Was searching around and the reviews seem to be very positive in most cases.

My putting is something I have work on big time for coming year.

Gave up Golf ten years ago and putting was then my strongest part of game would very rarely 3 putt even go 5-6 round without any, but since got back into the game this year the putting been letting me down while funny enough its been my long game that's improved quiet well and that used be my killer.

    Funny how things go.

Already said but the PGA app is great, often has legit live feeds from PGA events and the stats/videos are excellent.
Don't forget the SkySports app if you have a Sky subscription.
