Gift of Uggs... too large!

    Happy New Year everyone!

I need some advice here, my aunty was home for a few days before Christmas and left me a gift at my Grandparents house, a pair of Uggs she bought from the walking company in New York.

I just collected them from my grandparents house this evening as I was away for Christmas. To my dismay the Uggs are a size too large, she bought a USA 9 which is a european 7.5. I have tried them on to see if I could get away with them, as it is only one size too large but they really are too big.

I am so disappointed. Any advice as to what I can do next??? My auntie is gone back to USA and is not visiting again until next Feb!!

Is it possible for you to post them over to your aunt and get her to exchange them and bring the right size over in Feb when she's back again?

Or if there is a company in Ireland who sells that brand of UGGs, would it be possible to get the receipt from your aunt and ask the Irish store if they would exchange the boots for you? But then with warranties and stuff I don't know how that would work.

Try to sell them is your only option really. If anything they probably stretch more as they go on.

If you can get the receipt from the shop she bought them in it would help as there are a lot of fake Uggs out there and you want to be able to prove to the buyers that yours are real.

I would bring them to a shop that sells the exact same UGGs, if they are not fake and havnt been worn you could ask them for a straight swop for the right size...it may not work but its worth a try....tell them your aunt bought them for you in the shop you bring them to and keep your fingers crossed it works !!!
If not post them back to your aunt asap and get her to swop them

    Thanks for the reply's!

I also thought of taking them to a retailer who sell Uggs to see if they would do a straight swap. I really don't think this is feasible though.

I think I'll ring the walking company tomorrow to see if they might allow me to post them over and my aunt could bring them back in February.

Oh well not to worry, it's a small problem on the grand scheme of things!

Best of luck for the New Year to all x
