Finally calling an end to old habits, and starting my new life.

My first training log so hopefully I'll stay motivated to make it through the year and turn my life around. I don't normally do any training so anything extra is a step in the right direction. I'm 165 (5'6") and 88kg (13st 12lb).

Happy new year and Good luck to everyone else starting their new training...

Signed up for the operation transformation 5km on Feb 18th, I've set myself a target of sub 28mins, might have to revise it slightly in next few weeks but lets see how things progress.

Also heading out (taking the family) to a come and try it, orienteering event in Phoenix park Jan 15th.

bets of luck with it. Its always hard starting out as the body gets a bit of a shock but one day you might actually enjoy it ;)

Have you thought about trying a couch25k plan, timing it so it ends with the OT run, rather than going out to run two miles every two days?

Best of luck with this,i was a fresher last year and it is only now running is starting to get really enjoyable so stick with it even when the pain and the hurt muscles are begging you to stop!!...

P.S...........best advice, buy a foam roller and get to know it well....
