Looks like that model imac has a mini-dvi video output, if that's the case your best bet might be a mini-dvi to dvi adapter with a dvi-hdmi adapter and a 25ft+ hdmi cable. You'll also need a 25ft audio cable as the computer won't provide audio over the hdmi connection.

    Hi There.

The only way I could connect mine is through a little device called Kanex XD. the mini DVI cable goes in one way and a HDMI comes out on the other side.
It was very dear, as I think I payed 145 euro for it. in exchange I could watch TV on my Imac. just google it it will come up.

We got one on eBay for.about 20squid! They're.pretty hard to find in the shops so eBay and Amazon really are your best bets. Also, if you have an xBox then you can play films on your Mac through.the telly (sound and all) becAuse.the xBox can connect to the Mac over wifi!

    :)

That's funny because I am working for Xbox customer support, and we don't know any way to connect your xbox to your iMac.
If you are referring to the media center, that's only available to Windows PCs...

Really?? Because you can actually download a program to ur Mac called Vuze which is a Torrent downloading program. When you go to the Media centre on XBOX it asks if you want to sync with Vuze. When you select it you will then get a list of all the movies and music you have in Vuze on your Mac. You can play any of these (audio and visual) through the Xbox..

I know this because I do it every day.

You can also use Playback to stream movies and music. Perhaps szita2000 hasn't heard of this app or Vuze because they are third parties ones unlike Windows Media Centre.
