Was in Scotland last week, lovely country nice people etc

Met a local in the pub, said Hi got a Hi back. Then she told me "furry boots are warm". Thinking I miss heared her I asked "sorry what was that?"

"Furry boots are warm" she said again. Looking at her she seems normal and I not wanting to look, like the mad one, say sorry and ask her why is she telling me furry boots are warm??

At that everyone in ear shot started laughing. Turns out she was asking me, where was I from :(

So to help other travelers to Scotland, I found this on-line:

You need to read a few Irvine Welsh novels. You'd have neh problem understanding the Sweaties, then.

Irish and Scottish Gaelic are pretty similar. Can't go wrong with that.

I watched Bravehart so many times I now speak Scottish.. Accutally I wrote this in Scottish so you wouldn't be able to read it

The Scotch are a hard bunch to understand. I put it down to the high amount of haggis, batter and heroin in their diet.

I was in Glasgow a few Weeks ago.
Seen a naked bloke walking through the city centre with a Doc Marten (D.M) boot on the end of his Willy.

I stopped and asked him what he was doing, walking around naked with a D.M hanging off his knob ffs?

His reply was "not much, am only fcukin a boot!"
