I am going to a concert in Guinness storehouse tonight and as I have no one to go with I am taking my camera which is allowed for non commercial purposes.
I have no idea of the size of the venue or how it is arranged. Dont know how near the performers you can get or the lighting set up.
So, trying to figure out what kind of lens set up might be the best.
I figure to work with a highish ISo and maybe shutter speed priority as fully manual might be too changeable to get a reading?
I will try to get there early to suss it out in advance of the live show.
    All advice welcome :)

Nice blog post, Ramsey! Covers pretty much everything you need to know to be honest!

I've never shot in the Storehouse so can't help you.

    http://www.facebook.com/kieranfrostphotography has though!

Music was brilliant and unlike my photography Im afraid.
I changed memory cards and for some strange reason camera went to jpeg and I didnt notice until too late.

I got some of Ryan Sheridan I like but on the other stage I failed miserably for Royseven as the spots were on the stage floor facing the crowd and I wasnt tall enough to get anything worthwhile without a load of flare.
Everyone was taking snaps with their iphones and the bands were very good about posing so I used flash at the end and there was no complaint.
Unbelievable access to the musicians and brilliant gigs. Definitley worth the stiff entry fee.
