Hi lads would like to hear anybodys 0pinion on lamping in moderate to heavy rain. I was out the other night and never seen a eye i have found this to be the case over the years with very few shots taken. I know its not pleasant lamping in heavy rain as regards getting wet scope fogging ect but does anybody find that foxes dont seem to be out and about quite the same on wet nights.

It's not worth the hassle in my experience.

I'm now a devoted fair weather foxer, unless it's lambing time, then am out whenever I need to be in whatever there is.

not worth the hassle on a wet night, but if it has been raining all day and clears out for the evening, happy time..
    good hunting

If its pissing rain the you're at nothing, but if it's only mild rain then you can see a good few foxes. The only disadvantage is that the rain reflects the light back into the scope and considerably reduces the distance you can clearly identify the target
