CSS have a DI2 Ultegra equipped demo bike on a turbo in the shop at the moment! I had a "spin" today (as you would on a wet afternoon!) and I must say I was extremely impressed by its incredible smoothness! I know indoors on a turbo is not indicative of "real world" conditions but I'm not nearly as sceptical as I was! The installation is really neat too! I wish the Campag version didn't look so damn ugly!

A Shimano painted "demo" frame! No idea what it was in reality!

Is that in CSS? Canyon are selling one of the Al frames with it. Pretty good price too.

    Hey,
If you like it go for it,I have the dura-ace Di2 on my race bike,I had a lot of lads saying what if some thing goes wrong but I had no prob with the di2, I got the di2 frame with the internal cable routing so there no cables showing outside the frame,I want to fit di2 on the TT bike if the fund are there for 2012,I hope they bring out the TT shifters for the ultegra di2 as that would prove alot better for the pocket, the dura-ace di2 shifters won't work with the ultegra di2,if you are in the west and want to try out the di2 on the road give me a shout,

    Cheers zippe,

I was in there the week before chrismass and asked abiut the ultegra di2, they said they had ordered 30 groupsets for 2011 but none arrived due to demand from other countries and didnt know when they would get stock in.

Do they have some stock now? I plan on building a new bike up with a full ultegra di2 in 2012.

    Thanks

Just to let you know, Cyclesuperstore in Tallaght have a test Ultegra DI2 bike on a trainer if you want to check out the new electronic gearing system....
Had a go last night and all I can say is Wow.... absolutely amazing.... the front derailleur action is sublime... if I had a bucket of cash I'd be there in a heartbeat... check it out..!!

It's cool alright. Got a bit of a shock just there though looking at rear derailleur prices on wiggle.

Dura ace Di2 derailleur only - 585 euro!!!
And the ultegra is up around 300!!

Bloody hell. -That'll teach the sportive lads fairly fast not to pile bikes 10-deep in their hurry to queue for tea 'n cakes at the food stops!:pac:
