    So chuffed today to see loads of Lapwings out in the nearby estuary, not sure why but hadn't seen them in a while and their jaunty little tuft on the top of their head is just so cheery!

    Also saw bar-tailed and black-tailed godwits, oystercatcher, redshank, dunlin, turnstone, lesser black backs and shelduck :) Just lovely.

    Saw a bunch of Lapwing in flooded fields along the Shannon, from the Athlone Bypass the other week. Normally have to go to Lough Boora to see them!
