sky box really slow!

    Anybody else finding there sky boxes very slow over the last few weeks? As in when scrolling through the channels or while calling up the tv guide? Or when say keyin in 101 on the remote and it takes up to 5 seconds for the channel to come on?

    Not all Sky boxes are the same there are many different models.

    My HD boxes are really fast maybe you should think of upgrading.

    I have no signal at all the passed 2 days. Phoned Sky and they talked me through some steps... Turn it off and on! and some setup menu stuff. All useless.

    I've been told to wait a couple of more days... It might fix itself and that wind has been causing problems these days. It will cost 100 euro for a tech guy to come take a look!
    Why should I pay someone just because the Sky service is not working!

    As you said, is has been slow lately too. I have a Sky + HD box so it may not be your problem.

    Anyway.... Back to my DVDs!

    Having a lot of stuff on the box will slow it down, along with age. As for the €100 charge, tell them to put you through to cancellations, I find it soon disappears ;)

    This has been happening to my sky+ hd box too. I was on the phone to sky the other day for another issue and they said all looked ok on their end. Weird.
