Sound System for PS3

Hello,

I have a playstation 3 and download my films and play them on the PS3(ALL LEGAL) of course. I was wondering what sort of sound system would best suit me. I have a 42 inch Panasonic and really want to get one as the sound doesn't sound the best coming from the TV if your not up close.

Any advice on what to get?

I have these and they are grand...play deadspace 1 or 2 with em with the lights off and you'll sh1t yerself:D

Two important questions need to be answered in order to get decent info...

What's your budget?
Is your room big enough for a 5.1 system / Do you want a 5.1 system?

Thanks Man i had a look and for a 100 quid i could not go very wrong

I have enough room for 5.1 and have about 250 quid to spend but the cheaper the better but tbh I rather buy something that is good than go for the cheap option. Just need speakers as play my stuff thru PS3 via External Hard Drive for PS3 Media Server

If you can push it a little bit more I'd say the Onkyo HTS3405 would be a fantastic buy for your setup. Maybe pop over to the Richer Sounds forum and see what kind of price they can do for you.

If €250 is your strict limit then I'd be inclined to say get the Onkyo HTX22HDX now, which is a 2.1 system and then add the Onkyo SKS22X later to make it a 5.1 system.

Yes you can get 5.1 Logitech systems for cheaper but either of the above setups will blow them out of the water quality wise.

That is great info....I would much rather pay a extra 150 quid for quality tbh. Nothing is good without proper sound;):D

Quick question mate i just remembered i only have 1 hdmi output on my ps3 and that is hooked to me hd tv. Anyway around this for the sound system to hook it up to the ps3.
