hi all, were on eircom broadband and all has worked well for the most part over the last 3 years but from about 3-4 weeks ago, on various websites, pictures will not display. sometimes none at all will work but mostly a few will but most wont. it is not the laptop as it is the same on the Ipad and other tablet we have. its very annoying, especially for ebay and donedeal.

sometimes if i keep refeshing the page it will work but this is not very reliable.

    any ideas would be appreciated.

Login to the router and make sure Firewall is not set too high, also manaully put 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 for DNS settings (Google public DNS), see if things improve. What is the router actually, a Netopia?

Might be worth flushing your dns cache after changing then.
    Open command prompt and type:
    ipconfig /flushdns

i flushed it there thank you. so i have cleared the cache, changed the dns to 8.8.8.8 and have 8.8.4.4 as alternate and then ran the command ipconfig /flushdns.

it does seem to have helped alot for the laptop. no missing pictures on a couple of test sites. however the Ipad is still showing the dreaded ? mark in a blue box. :(

Did you clear the browser cache of the ipad?

    Also:

To flush DNScaches, just reset iPad network settings.

Tap Setting > General > Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings.
