I haven't but it was recommended to me by a mate. It's kosher according to him.

Not sure that will be the case with certain UK online retailers that can avoid charging VAT on deliveries of helmets into Ireland;)

I checked Chainreaction and Wiggle who both charged the Irish Vat and where over €115. Great fit on the bell for me though, the Giro's honestly didn't sit on my head, so strange.

Wiggle and CRC are, AFAIK, the only UK retailers charging Irish VAT (regardless of price). Slane Cycles have the Bell Sweeps starting at £79.99, but I think you need to get your order above £100 to qualify for free delivery

You don't have to charge Irish VAT until you sell 100k of goods into Ireland, once you do you have no option. It's nothing to do with the cost of the goods. So all bigger online stores will charge Irish VAT, the smaller ones don't sell enough to have to.

I only mentioned the cost of goods in the context of free delivery, not the application of Irish VAT

The threshhold for registering for Irish VAT for online sales from outside Ireland is actually €37.5k or so annual sales, not €100k
