Nice little phone this. Running Android gingerbread, and said to be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich late April / early May.

Has a very well thought out UI that complements the 3" screen. 1ghz 2nd gen SnapDragon Chipset, 5MP camera with led flash, Adobe flash, and a good loud speaker. Phone appears to nip along nicely with no lag.

Its small size won't suit everyone, but if you have small fingers then should be fine.

Anyhow available on the O2 website for €129. However order via FatCheese fo r€15 cash back, and use coupon code O2ONLINE O2COUPON for an additional €12.90 off. Final cost is €101.10. Happy days.

I have one of these phones and it is possibly the worst phone i've ever owned.

Not a bad price in fairness. Amazon don't sell it themselves but all of their sellers want over £160 GBP for it. That would bring the phone to somewhere near to €200. Very niche handset though, wouldn't fancy it myself

Really?!? Or are you talking about the x10 mini pro again, which is a completely different phone?

You're not talking about the same phone .This one has most of the system that the Xperia Arc has and the Arc is one of the best phones of 2011.

Yeah the X10 phones weren't the best - how anyone can use a 2.5" screen is beyond me. Safe To say the first generation of Sony Ericsson phones left a sour taste in many peoples mouths.

However Sony listened, learned by their mistakes, and has improved its Android offerings. They are one of the first companies to announce upgrades for their current handsets to Ice Cream Sandwich.

Having recently used the Xperia Play, I'm impressed by their Android interface. It makes a refreshing change to HTCs Sense UI imho.

This latest Xperia Mini has received good reviews as its vastly improved over the previous X10.

Yeah, Worth mentioning too that the processor in this is the very same as the ARC, which was/is SE's top phone in 2011. Getting it in a phone for €100 means it certainly should be nippy. Most phones in this price have a 600 or 800MHz chip at best

Has any one bought this yet?

I had a go at getting it last night as an o2 upgrade, i am an existing customer.
The code: O2ONLINE would not work on the website

    Regards,
    Eoin

Its an O2 phone- they don't tend to lock theirs unlike 3/Meteor etc

Every O2 phone I ever owned was locked.

Or...I am talking about the same phone because I was given this as a replacement. ;)

Not sure the fatcheese money will come through since you've used another coupon on the site.

Got one yesterday in store for €120, amazing little phone and I like the small size. I am having a problem with it knocking out our modem on the wifi requiring me to restart it, three other devices (mac) in the house don't do that...

    Bought from an O2 store.

    Bought from an O2 store.
That doesn't necessarily means it's locked to their network though

Assign it an IP address at the router- rather than allowing it to choose its own- it would appear its trying to use resources already allocated to other devices on your network

Thanks for the info chaps. That Xperia mini looks like a decent little phone. Screen is abit small though but it looks like the best one for the price:)

I think the price is decent, but I didn't like the X10 mini pro because the screen was too small, this is a little bit better res. But I wonder would I still find the mini a bit small. Still it has a good radio and SQ and its hard to find that in a smart phone at this price. Personally I didn't want to spend 150~200 on a phone.

The xperia play might be worth a look, It's easily the best value phone around at the moment imo.

Everywhere is out of stock on the play

You won't get the cashback from fatcheese using the code O2Coupon, I used that code for the xperia play and did'nt get cashback as it wasn't a fatcheese code.

I missed the offer, and I kinda thought it was a bit too bulky. It didn't seem that well constructed either.

I also bought the Xperia Play using the discount code. However I DID get the €15 awarded on FatCheese. I've also bought the Mini. The FatCheese €15 cash back is currently pending. Based on my experience with the Play, I expect that €15 to be awarded too.

My son bought the O2 PAYG Xperia Mini tonight online as an upgrade. The OPs 10% off code was reported as expired so maybe that's it for now. EURO129 still a decent enough price for it though, especially when compared to EURO179 for Wildfire S.

After having two Arc's I can say that's bull.

@jonny7 that's the Mini pro you're talking about, similar to the Mini, but with a slide out keyboard. I'd imagine that's a little chunkier/heavy all right. The €101 price is for the Mini (not Mini pro). Just Thought I'd clarify.

Is there any other promotional code around?

If a low quality camera doesn't matter then the Samsung Galaxy Y (99) and the HTC Explorer (129) are good options.

Why? Even ignoring the camera their specs are worse in every way.
