Play Fighting does it lead to Real Fighting?

    I like to play fight, a wrestle here, a slap there and a tickley over there, sure tis all a bit of fun. However I have yet to meet a play fighter who does not get a bit thick. Why are play fighters always on the defensive?

    In my experience people get annoyed with playful wrestling when:
    A) they can't out manoeuvre you
    B) you've hurt them
    C) they're a stranger and they don't comprehend your jovial intentions when you punch them

    Far as I know... It is mighty fun mind

    Depends, I like to play fight when I dominate it, I have yet to do it with someone who dominates me.

    I suppose in bondage I am more the whipper then the whippee.

    Nothing perversive about what I am saying. I have seen family members come close to blows over a simple arm wrestle. Tis chrimbo entertain me.

    was in a "play fight" situation with a 16st girl who started hitting harder than was really necessary. I can hold my own but she was about 8stone heavier than me and it was like having whale blubber flung with the force of an atomic bomb at me and it stopped being fun shortly after that.
    She turned around after I almost throttled her and giggled that it turned her on. No words.

    If no-one's willing to play dead.. Then I think it is inevitable that it will escalate. But the taller guy should have at least shown some humility n saved himself bein humiliated

    I remember in school for a while people got on the "happy slapping" buzz, that let to fights all right. Now by me though, I'm a gentle soul :)

    Play fighting is generally done by kids. Adults are going to get pissed off. Fight reactions are an instinct, playing with adult instincts is going to annoy people.
