What you are you doing in Melbourne this NYE?

I seen the European Bier Cafe has a Tropical Hawaiian night but its 125 entry (free drink mind) so was wondering is it worth it or any good? Anyone been?

I think it could be a few bots on St Kilda beach durign the day soaking up the sunshine.....then into town to see fireworks etc and then down the local once its after 12.

The night is normally a let down so gonna just enjoy my day and let the night glide by.

Also, United Blackburn match is on around midnight over here so might watch that.... Wish I was in Sydney !

I'm the same. Will finish about 10. Most places that i have seen in the city are ticket affairs where you pay in advance and get food/drink which rules them out for me.

Home for some beers on the balcony watching the fireworks then watch the football.

Sounds super! I'll havta come up with a plan to watch the footie.. Might risk the CBD and head into the sports bar in the casino

Im living in the Southbank Towers across from the cas so I think it will be kilda all day drinking....back into town for fireworks and atmosphere then back to apt for footie and mild gambling and then to the cas for heavy drinking and heavy gambling. ;)

Went to St Kilda Beach last year and it was grim. The police were trying to stop people drinking by taking bottles off people (understandable) and in retaliation these bogans/chavs/scangers/whatever yoou want to call them started hurling empty bottles at the police and we were stuck in the middle of it. We got away as quick as we could. Avoid.

Ya PJs is 30 on the door. I think the drunken poet is just normal entry but that place is too small for a night like this.
