I have been to Courmayeur but only in the summer. Its quite a swanky place so I dont think there would be any cheapo options.

We stayed in the Hotel Bouton d`or http://www.hotelboutondor.com/ it would seem a double room with them per night is €130

This was the cheapest place we could find in the summer but there may be more options in the winter.

Bergamo to Courmayeur would be about a 2.5hr drive.

Fopollo to Bergamo would be 1hr 20 mins and as its a smaller resort then you might get some cheaper lodgings.

Have hit Montecampione for long weekends before. Very cheap and hassle free however it is small. Don't mind it as a cheap way of fining feet until the week long holiday.

Packages on activitybreaks.com that are all in and only 1 hour drive from berg.

Passo tonale could be an option too
