A friend of mine got a mains fed shower recently. It worked for a little while, then no hot water. Put a pressure guage on seperate supply and low and behold there is not enough pressure thus not 8/9 litres of water going through unit...

I was told by shop i got shower that there is a pump (Also Joey the lips) pointed me in this direction also. But as Joey stated in another thread and he was right the bloody pump costs 200euro+.... I have a chance of getting a second hand single impeller pump, but its 1.5bar....

would this pump be to powerfull for the shower?

All you need is a single impeller pump any one will do and 1.5 bar is enough. Its just triton rec you use the t450i but at the price they want its mad. Just remember that this is connected to the water tank not the mains.

All I have is a connection off the mains. This is a council flat complex and they have roof tanks fed by a rising mains. So was going to hook it up to the connection thats supplying the shower thats off the mains....

Was going to re-pipe it for them off a supply and put in a trition t90 or mira elite but its a nightmare of a job, tiles etc....

Unless the triton t90 or mira elite has a dedicated feed which it sounds like it does not you will risk starving it of water.

You cannot connect a single impeller pump to a mains either as you rely on the pump to push rather than suck and push.

Your only option is a mains booster pump how ever this is a very expensive option when combined with the shower and the council might not allow it depending on the scheme.

I would go with the t90 and be sure to point out all the possibilies of going wrong to your custmer...

Make sure you get most of the money before starting the job. This could go wrong very early...

You hit nail on head, as its gone wrong since I was asked to look at it...The T90 wont have a header tank because of the space restrictions, all I can do it take it off a supply in bathroom and tell them not to run any taps while shower is on....Pain in the arse...

Was hoping against hope I could just put pump on mains connection to shower under sink in kitchen....

    Ah well...
