    Hi,
I recently had my boiler serviced about 2 months ago, its a Potterton Prima F 50, the plumber said it was in very good condition as it is 12 years old. Just today the Fan stuck which has happened before and WD40 with some light spinning of the fan and a restart of the boiler would get it running again ,however when the plumber(not the same who serviced) came out to look he tried a few times and he could not get it going, he then said we would need a new fan and it would cost 320euro to supply and fit it. Is this a good estimate for the repair as it seems steep? and I was wondering that 1 or 2 radiators were not heating fully and probably needed to be bled, could this be causing the fan to overwork and cause failure if it was pushing air through the system like an airlock?

I wasnt at home when the guy called out so couldnt this mention it to him.

No, the cold rads have no bearing on your fan problem.

€320 sounds around right for supply and fit.
