Bought an iphone 4 2nd hand yesterday and swapped over to 3 as it's locked to 3.

However, any time I go to click on 3 when selecting a network, it says 'your selected celluar network is restricted'.

    Anybody have any idea's?

I know this sound smart but try switching on and off the phone. Failing that hold down home key and power key for 20 seconds until you see apple logo on screen and then release. (ignore everything else on screen)

I'd say it's one of two things. Either your port hasn't gone through yet, or the phone is barred/blacklisted. Hopefully it's not the latter.

I was going to suggest trying the 3 SIM in a different phone, only the iPhone 4 has to be awkward and use non-standard SIM cards. :(

Ring 3 with the serial number to make sure it's not blacklisted, Can happen If somone defaulted on their bill or it was reported stolen, can you get your money back?

Turns out it just took a bit longer than usual for my number to transfer over to 3 and be activated, thanks for the help.

You have fourteen days cooling off period, for the love of god get out now, Three will treat you like garbage and you will find yourself stuck on EDGE/GPRS quite alot of the time.
