    I am a civil servant and I have been in an acting post for over 2 years.

    Someone mentioned that if I keep the acting post for 3 years then I will have built up rights for this post.

    Anyone any idea

    Not sure, but I think the rules about keeping the salary and post etc after a certain period have been discontinued.

    have asked my union -PSEU - they are useless.

    Anyone know of a solictor who would deal with this type of thing
