Norton anti virus

    I had norton anti virus installed on my laptop but I uninstalled it accidentally. I tried to reinstall it there using the product key but it keeps coming up as invalid it's norton 2010 btw.

    If you have activated the key more than three times (maybe more/less) it may have been blocked. You would need to contact Symantec to request another code, they should be able to sort this pritty quick, I'd fire off an email explaining the issue

    Do yourself a favour and dump the nortons disk in the bin...pile of hogging ****e it is.

    Download one of the free ones that will do a better job.

    I recommend Microsoft Security essentials

    The OP hasn't asked to switch to another program, only for help with the one he has paid for.

    You don't "Accidentally" uninstall a Norton product though. Unless you downloaded the Removal Tool and got rid of it properly, and then regretted doing so. At either rate you should be installing Norton 2012 if anything not 2010.
