    Hi, I need to buy a bus ticket from Killarney to Glenbeigh Village- however Glenbeigh Village is not listed on the destinations on the location list to buy online. It is listed in the journey planner, but this is no help to me as I need to find out the price.

    What's up with that?? :mad::mad::mad:

    Not all tickets are purchasable online. I would imagine it has to do with the bus not having the kit to confirm the ticket code.

    The old BE website used to have more detail on this but it appears to have vanished with the new one, maybe due to a reducing number of affected routes.

    there is also no option to buy tickets on the cross border routes either.

    That is down to Translink having a different ticketing system to Bus Eireann and therefore drivers being unable to validate Internet bookings.

    It's a real shame. If Translink can accept a ticket issued from a BE office then it should be easy to get some form of system working between them.

    The fare for virtually any journey may be found by using the Fare Finder on the Bus Éireann website. http://www.buseireann.ie/inner.php?id=235

    Route 279 links Killarney to Glenbeigh Village. The adult single fare at present (before fares go up) is €9.80 or €15.50 for a monthly return.

    There is also a fare stage for Glenbeigh School (same fares as above).

    Deutsche Bahn site has that same cross-border issue. A pain.
