Hi Just wondering can someone tell me after what mileage does a timing belt need to be changed? It says on the engine (if its correct) it was done at 58,000 miles there is now 78,000 but I know the car was sitting idle for a year. If its needs to be done how much am I looking at and is it better to buy on micksgarage and get a mechanic to fit it or not?

Also need a new battery as if not driven every day it needs a jump? Better to do all at once in mechanics or not?

Bought of a gangster in Waterford and now proving a bit of trouble.

    Cheers

There is the 80bhp and 100bhp engines on your model.
Depends on what code your engine is but it will be either 60k miles/100k km or 100k miles/ 160km.

Its not silver with 17" alloys is it?

As for the timing belt, is it the dti or cdti engine?

its the 80bhp so the belt only needs to be changed every 60k miles? regardless if it was idle for a while?

For the 75hp dti engine its listed as every 100k miles or 10 years.
