The famous golf resort, just outside Birmingham, is up for sale.

I say 'famous' as the Brabazon course is a renowned stomping ground for the Irish to win Ryder Cups for Europe - Christy O'Connor Junior (1989) and Paul McGinley (2002).

I also say 'famous' because the Brabazon is regarded as a two-hole course (10 and 18), which doesn't say a lot, does it! Then again, the course was originally located on 15 potato fields... no wonder we Irish like it so much.

Oh, it's owned by the Irish... or should that be Northern Irish?

Yep, well on my way... just another €10,000 to go before i've covered the cost of the camper van, then I'll put in an opening bid.

Delighted to see this. Another brick from the Bable Tower that was the Quinn Group, but a golf course only made famous because it was owned by the PGA.
