Change straight to curly quotes in a doc

I have a document in word 2010 in which I want to change all the straight double quotes to curly ones (and possibly back again afterwards). I want to do this so I can quickly find the ends of quoted text and add commas (i.e. replace "That's great" she said. by "That's great," she said.)

I know there's an option to turn quote replacement on and off while you type and I know I can turn it on and run autocorrect on the whole document but it's 500 pages long and there are hundreds of words which are considered misspellings but are not so I want it to just concentrate on the quotes.

    Is this of any use?

I found that by enabling the conversion to smart quotes and then simply replacing " by itself Word did the rest.
