Car problem

Its an 06 opel astra 1.3 cdti The central locking isn't working on the key fob or the button inside. I checked all the fuses under the bonnet and in the boot. A one stage the boot locked and wouldnt open and the brake lights stayed on without being touched. I fixed the brake light problem and then the central locking wouldnt work. When i use the key fob to lock the car the boot locks without the indicators flashing but nothing locks and the button on the inside doesnt lock or open anything now. I checked all the fuses.

All the help would be much appreciated.

Open each door, boot and bonnet, check there's no obstruction on the sensors or locks, with all open press lock on either fob or interior button, then close everything and try again. My guess is there's something obstructing a lock or sensor.

There's nothing blocking the sensor or locks i just checked and tried what you said. Still no luck. Thanks

I'v a 06 passatand my low xenon lights seem to be cutting out every now and again!! Would anyone know if its a connection fault or is it sign that the lights are going????

Are they factory or aftermarket?

Im not 100% sure as i bought the car second hand but i'd say there factory as the box looks like its a factory part

Yes,I disconnected the battery and when i connected the battery again it worked.
