Buying a macbook from apple.ie

Does anyone know the returns policy (warranty). What happens if something is wrong with it. How do they fix it if it's bought online. Anyone know?? thanks

You need have no worries with Apple , they have probably the best warranty service around.
If you ring them up with a problem, they will send a courier for it, and return it repaired or replaced.
Of course you can always take the machine into an authorized Apple repair centre, and they too will take care of it as if you bought it there.

I don't see a collection service anymore, just bring to repair centres?

Twice, I have had to use Apple's warranty (think it was an iPhone or iPod) and both times, when I rang them, the "tech" took my name and address, then they sent me a "dhl" or similar cardboard box/packing and a phone number of dhl or whoever to call, when I had it packed up.It was then picked up at my house and a replacement arrived within a couple of days.

Exactly, iPhone/iPad/iPod. No option for it with laptops anymore when you fill out the. Service request.

Dunno, but I do know they collected my m8's mac mini about a month ago.

Needed a repair done on my laptop during the summer.

The sent a box and when it was ready I called them up and they collected it, brought it to get fixed and dropped it back.

In saying that I'm no where near a apple repair centre. So they'll offer a drop in service first.
