Does UPC record over time?

Well, the only thing I ever record is WWE RAW since it's the only thing on at a time I can't watch it.
However, the UPC listings has it on from 2am till 4am, when it generally has around 10-15 minutes of over time and ends around 4:15.
I've found a solution of setting it to a manual record, but this leaves the problem of having to record an extra hour before in case there's a 3 hour edition and I forget.
My question is, if I just set it on the guide to record will the program be extended by UPC like Sky does or will I miss the over time?

No,UPC will not record over time the programme is scheduled for. Recorded a game last year and it went to Extra time but I missed it all for this reason.

UPC is terrible, only have it cos only supplier I can get.

There's a simple solution. Set the program to record as normal. Now, go to your TV planner & highlight the recording in question. Press the "record" button on the remote and you will be able to extend the recording by 5/10/20 minutes, whatever suits. I do this all the time recording late night NFL in case the games go to over-time.

Its mostly movies or drama that I tape but I always do this, leaving a minute beforehand and 10 minutes afterwards for comfort. Its saved the ending of a whodunnit more than once. For a sport like football, I'd certainly tag on 30 or 40 minutes afterwards.

You can also change the default setting on your box to automatically add time to the beginning or end of all recordings.
