    Hi All,

Can anyone give me any info regarding legalized "a-noo-thin-asia"
Apologies as I don't know how to spell this which is probably why I can't find any info on it.

I know there's a place in Europe somewhere that does this, could be Holland or the Netherlands but just don't know.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thnx

Euthanasia. Chinese kids. Probably China, all things considered. especially if you're a baby girl.
As of 2011, active euthanasia is only legal in the three Benelux countries: the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Assisted suicide is legal in Switzerland and in the US states of Washington, Oregon and Montana

Furhter edit - hope you're not thinking of assisted suicide...? Have a word with the Samaritans if you are. At least give them a chance.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Euthanasia. I'm not sure if it's Holland or the Netherlands or the place where Dutch people live. Also Switzerland.

Here's a link, and it includes two more that you can click on for further information.

The Netherlands also has a liberal policy. A friend of mine moved there (from Finland) when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's a few years ago, but she is still holding her own as the disease has progressed more slowly than expected.

What incident are you talking about exactly?

If you mean the child that was run over a few months ago. The two they caught are still in Jail. I suspect they don't give a death sentence straight away.

That action also changed how Chinese act now vs the "Good Samaritan" law which is what caused the tragedy to begin with. Which is why a girl was rescued straight away after being run down recently in China (but didn't make the major news, because no outrage).

But my comment was referring to killing of girls at birth. Which used to be an issue many years ago. They introduced laws to prevent this, for example certain families are entitled to 2 children if the first is a girl (Han race + farmers) and a death sentence for killing children.

Say that to the wrong Dutch person and you'll get a quick history and geography lesson. Holland is the name of a part of the Netherlands.

    Its actually two povinces.

    tell that to the Dutch

Its entirely possible that he could have been talking through his vagina but someone told me onetime that people from the Netherlands dont like being called "Dutch" becuse too many people confuse them with Germans or something. The same person told me that Polish people dont like being called "Eastern European"

Polish don't consider themselves Eastern European. Mainly because they are not in Eastern Europe. The Berlin Wall and Communism probably just led to people lazily referring to them as Eastern European.

In English it is Dutch. I think some people in the Netherlands would say Nederlander.

If it's not in Eastern Europe, then what, apart from Berarus and Russia, is?

I imagine Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

Obviously there is no single "this is Eastern Europe" guideline since it is all man made. But the borders of Poland and Germany have changed over the years. Given that parts of the current Poland were once German, it would seem logical to say they are not Eastern European if we don't count Germany as Eastern Europe.

But I should have added that the above post was written in the manner of a Polish person saying why they are not in Eastern Europe. In other words "well it is not in Eastern Europe" was the exact line a Polish girl once said to me when I was talking to her about it.

Most of which are due South of Poland (one or two even a little west)

I mean eastern as in the geographical context, not the historical one. In the historical tense, it was part of the Eastern bloc so would be considered eastern Europe.
