Amazon have the 2nd generation Living Colors lamp in clear and black for £64.99 at the moment, works out at about €77 delivered. The cheapest I've ever seen it is usually €130-€150. I've wanted one for a while now so decided to take the plunge. I'll post back when I get it but I already know I'm going to love it, it's Class A pointless gadget :oLINK

Appears to have been at that price previously http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Philips-LivingColors-69171-60-PU/product/B005LB0L4S

Have to admit, I am tempted mainly because it just seems so pointless, and also because I never heard of it before:D

It's something I would love to test out with having to fork out €80 :pac:

    Nearest price I found was €94 :>http://www.esbstore.ie/Product/Philips-Living-Colours-LED-Light/1223/600

Got two of these a few months back at the same price.

Have them in the bedroom and haven't turned them off since :D
You can control them with the one remote and pick a color or let them cycle through the colors automatically

Adds a great touch to the room

I noticed their is a different model of the second gen http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-LivingColors-Colour-Changing-Control/dp/B002YK5N38/ref=pd_cp_light_3

What's the difference apart from being more expensive and slightly different remote

I reckon if you got in touch with Ash over on the Richer Sounds forum he'd do his damnedest to pricematch.

Worth a shot alright, they had them for €124 iirc so would be hard to drop to €80

I think there is issues with shipping these to Ireland..

.. Amazon won't ship them due to the bulbs I believe.

    Same with those SAD lamps.

Ye I think its the same unit, apart from an older type remote. If your prepared to wait then decent price.

Just received this in the post there, had it set up for a bit in the kitchen and even with the light from the double porch doors it still seems really bright, if you look into it it's actually dazzling. I can't wait for it to get dark though and really test it out. The remote is really responsive and there's plenty of different options to fiddle around with, was definitely a bargain at that price.
