Black Tie Wedding

Just found out the wedding I'm going to in a few days is black tie essential so I'm in a bit of a bind. Obviously I'll have to rent a tux at short notice or maybe even buy one. Any ideas where I can get one in the Meath or Dublin West areas? I hear Marks and Spencers are doing a big sale. Anyone know if the are selling tuxedos? My girlfriend is also a bit worried about what the rules are for her. Any advice would be appreciated.

If the wedding is black tie then your girlfriend should defo wear a long dress.
Can offer any advice on a tuxedo, sorry. Enjoy!

Is below the knee considered long?

Got my tux sorted. Marks are indeed doing them cheap. Well the trouser and jacket are cheap anyway.

Had a similar black tie dilemma recently! The 'ladies' outfits included full length dresses (plainer type debs dress or bridesmaids style) and shorter cocktail dresses.....mine was to the knee, satin and chiffon and glam it up with jewellery and heels.
Tell your girlfriend not to worry. What I learned is that anything goes if she can borrow something all the better. Enjoy! :)

I hope that your bow tie isn't one of the pre-made ones. Every man ought to know how to tie a proper bow tie.

We had a black tie wedding and I can lay bets on that your girlfriend has something in her wardri=obe suitable. We put on out invites that no new drsses. only for the bride and mothere and it worked!!! Saved everyone a bomb.

A cocktail style dress will be fine, knee or below.

Enjoy and take lots of photos as the pics will be fab!!!
