I am convinced that umbrellas are the most useless for Irish weather.

I am looking for a goot hat to protect aganist rain.

    Has any one any suggestions?

I bought a hat like this one recently. It was €6 in Pennys. I love it as it keeps my head and ears nice and warm. I just got fed up of battling with my umbrella!!:D

Good quality hooded jacket like Musto or good outdoor brand.

Or cheap rainjacket in a bag that you can get in penney hady to keep in a handbag, backpack or car for unexpected rain.

Yes, I usually just have a good hooded coat or a rain jacket. If it's a wet and windy day, forget having an umbrella alright. I will never understand why so many people still bring them out into windy weather only for the brolly to turn inside out almost immediately!
