Benefits - domestic violence

I'm trying to get out of a domestic violence situation.

I'm married with 3 children & we own our home jointly.

We both work full time but I was told last week I'm losing my job.

If I leave with my kids will I be able to get rent allowance or any other benefit? If I stay & he agrees to move out will I be entitled to any benefits? He says he won't leave.

Feeling desperate here. I will go to the social welfare office but would like to have some idea before I go. I have already looked on the citizen advice but because we own the home I'm not sure if I can get any help if I move out. I would hope to get another job soon but would need help in the short term.

jenna i dont know what part of the country you are in but you can contact
womens aid on a freephone helpline between 10am and 10pm 1800 341 900 every day of the year except Christmas Day. Here is the "get help locally" page of the womens aid website
    http://www.womensaid.ie/services/local.html
You dont have to be in immediate danger to contact them.
you can get rent supplement and other payments if you leave your husband, and you are right, owning your home complicates that, but womens aid can help you to sort that out, and pretty quickly too, good luck.
