Volkswagen did it with the remake of the Beetle, VW did it again with the retake of the MINI, Triumph Motorcycles have recently introduced a retro version of the iconic Triumph Bonneville, FIAT have the little retro 500cc car, and now London has a retro remake of the iconic 'Routemaster bus' commissioned for the 21st century, but which Retro is best? which one holds true to the original ingredients that made the original so precious & loved? And do you have a favourite Retro?

Yeah, the Bonney looks class and the Mini is a defo improvement but the Beetle and the Fiat don't do nothing for me. Oh yeah, I used to love those hop on/hop off buses. Not sure about the newer one.

In my view, nothing matches the original. But efforts are worth to be appreciated.

If its not original..then its just modern...:o

The new VW Beetle looked more like the Mazda 121 than its predecessor when it was introduced, it also became dated just like the Mazda.

The new "Routemaster" is a grotesque looking monstrosity compared to the elegant styling of the original and I hope we never see them on the streets of Dublin.

I always liked the design of the new mini and is a credit to BMW, like the old one it will always look fresh, same goes for the Fiat 500..

From someone that had a 1966 Triumph Thunderbird, the New Bonnie was ruined by some of its hideous detailing, ie rear lens, kink in the exhaust pipe, oversized clocks were horrible compared to the original smiths design. There is a company in Germany that made retro components to bring back this bike to what it should look like. The first thing I would do if I had one of these is remove the indicators. One thing I do like about it is that it doesn't piss out oil all over the place. :p

The new Mini was designed by Rover. BMW just held on to the Mini brand when they sold Rover (and gave Rover a short licence to run down the production line for the original).
