Earphones problem

I'm looking for advice on earphones i got for my sons Ps3 (i thought i read on the page that the were suitable) bought on line from Ama...n they don't have a usb connection only two pins one for earphone socket which my tv has and one for mic socket which my tv doesn't have . Does anyone know if i can get a usb adapter to allow them to be plugged inti the ps3 or something else that will allow them to be used on the tv properly,,, or should i just return them thanks for any advice

They don't sound as though they are suitable for the PS3(put a link to them and we'll know for definite).

I bought a siberia v2 headset for my ps3 which is the same setup as yours. Basically you take the audio jack and take the sound directly from your tv or surround sound amp as in my case. Usb on playstation only supports voice audio so to connect the Mic you will need a usb sound card, one that is just plug and play.
This card has an input to plug your Mic jack into. Sounds complex but its not really.

As far as I can tell, they won't work for a PS3. They only work with a PC. Best send em back and get another set.

As far as I can tell, they won't work for a PS3. They only work with a PC. Best send em back and get another set.

They will work, just run the audio jack to your tv and the Mic jack to your usb card, simple as cornflakes. You'd have them up and running in no time.

any idea whish shop i'd get a usb sound card in or can i only get them on line . Saw a creative x blaster (something like that) in p.£ wor%d but was dearer than the earphones ... don't want to get that one Suppose thats what i get for doing things on the cheap:o on the plus side the boys have said that the earphones have great sound and are very comfrotable..:rolleyes:

I went and ordered a sound card off eBay, including postage it wad only 1.19, I know it'll be basic but it is only for a Mic input.
