I got a new wii for christmas, and I can't find the slot for a gamecube controller, where is it meant to be like?

If you got a brand new Wii, it's likely that it's a new Wii Family Edition, which removes support for all gamecube games and accessories.

If it's an original version Wii, there should be 4 gamecube controller ports and 2 memory card slots hidden by a little door on the side. It's not very hard to find so I'd imagine if you haven't already found them you probably have the Wii Family edition (new version).

As far as I know, the new Wii can also only sit horizontally, so check if there are little feet on the side which would allow the Wii to stand vertically.

Well I'm standing it vertically now, but its on my carpet, so. I paid 60e on gamecube games, pain in the arse.

If you're standing it vertically, the gc slots are under a panel on the top if you have an old Wii.
