Nintendo DSI only plays DS games. Cant read DSI games

    Hi,

    My son's nintendo DSI only seems to be able to read cards that have the NTR code and not the TWL code.

    As far as I know NTR is DS and TWL is DSI. So they should both work.

    Any ideas?

    The few DSi titles that exist can be region locked...maybe a possibility?

    It's possible. How can I tell whats locked and what region the DSI is?

    Looking at the setup->country menu, neither UK or Ireland are there. Seems like it could be a US region DSI maybe? Strange because I bought it in gamestop

    Very weird! Seems like it might be.
    Was it pre-owned? If so, head straight to gamestop and complain! they shouldn't have accepted it in the first place...lazy staff!
    (If it was new, would be even weirder...but obviously you should complain about it either way, it's not fit for purpose/sale in this country)

    I brought it back to Game in the ilac and they swapped it straight away. It seems they only test DSI's that are brought in using games that are not region locked. You'd think they would have thought of the little catch there :(

    All good now though.
